Job Description

Category CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant Job Type Contract Support a positive and impactful educational environment by providing essential care to a young student as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a school setting. This role involves working closely with a kindergarten student who uses a wheelchair and requires high-level medical support. You'll contribute meaningfully to the student's inclusion and well-being throughout the school day.
Position Details:
Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
Schedule:
Short-term assignment (September through mid-November), with potential extension through the full school year
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Experience working with pediatric populations, especially children with physical and medical needs, is highly preferred Skilled in supporting students who use wheelchairs and require frequent or advanced medical assistance during the school day Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and medical professionals Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting the unique needs of children in a school setting Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to respond calmly in challenging situations
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and monitoring for the assigned kindergarten student throughout the school day Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning in accordance with safety protocols Support personal care needs such as toileting, feeding, and hygiene Implement prescribed medical plans under the supervision of school health staff Foster a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive environment for the student Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in the life of a young student while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.
