Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant), or Caregiver providing compassionate private duty and state-mandated home care services in Queen Anne's and Kent County. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized patient care, support independence, and promote well-being for individuals across various stages of life, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those receiving hospice or end-of-life care. Your energy and attention to detail will directly enhance the quality of life for your clients while ensuring compliance with all home health care regulations. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance using patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track patient health status Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior, especially in memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and geriatrics populations Support patients with medical procedures such as catheter care and wound management under supervision or as trained Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and ensuring infection control practices are followed Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home healthcare agencies or providing home & community care is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and home health care regulations is essential Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or end-of-life care is advantageous Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and safe lifting techniques is required Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families about care plans and progress Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is mandatory; additional certifications in dementia or Alzheimer's care are a plus Ability to work independently in live-in employment settings or flexible schedules while maintaining professionalism and compassion Join us to provide exceptional home health services that improve lives!
