Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Resident Assistant (RA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in various healthcare settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, particularly for individuals with diverse needs including those in long-term care, assisted living, and memory care environments. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and record vital signs, report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Administer medications as directed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas while adhering to infection control protocols. Some light housekeeping and Laundry . Engage residents in social activities and promote their participation in community events. Support residents with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and other specialized needs. Document patient care activities accurately in EMR/EHR systems while complying with HIPAA regulations. Skills Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills and experiences: Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs. Knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and medication administration protocols. Proficiency in medical terminology, documentation practices, and anatomy knowledge. Experience using EMR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Understanding of basic life support (BLS) principles and aseptic techniques. Ability to provide compassionate senior care while maintaining patient dignity. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
