Job Description

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Perianesthesia team! Come be a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. The Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skills and expertise to complement other healthcare providers. The Nursing Assistant (CNA) works in all areas of Perianesthesia (Pre-op, Phase I/PACU, and Phase II/Discharge), and prepares patients for surgery (vital signs, point of care testing, skin preparation, documentation in Epic, etc.) and assists nurses during recovery (SCD machines, ambulation, assisting with dressing, etc.) and transporting patients post-operatively.
Important Information:
Breaks are important to our team! There is a lactation room in the department. We have regular team recognition events. There are workgroups and interdisciplinary collaboration. We have monthly nursing assistant team meetings and monthly educational offerings. Nursing Assistants are a part of the Shared Governance Committee.
Work Schedule:
Day/Evening shift with every other weekend rotation and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant. Current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or junior-level nursing student (which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited LPN or RN program). BLS.
Additional Information:
This is a union 0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) day/evening shift position, working in St. Louis Park, MN. The full salary range for this position is $21.38-$28.56 per hour, based on experience and internal equity, plus shift differentials. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits. Our benefits include medical and dental insurance (which begin on the first day of the month following start), 401k with match, disability insurance, fertility benefits, tuition reimbursement, educational reimbursement toward continuing education, and we are a qualified non-profit employer under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program .
