Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Ensure patient safety through proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide updates on patient conditions and respond to their needs promptly. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR). Assist with patient transfers using appropriate transfer methods and ensure compliance with infection control protocols in both hospital and long-term care environments. Light housekeeping Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Strong communication skills paired with compassionate caregiving abilities to foster trust and rapport with patients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and demonstrate manual handling skills in accordance with safe lifting practices.
