Job Description
Cotton Point Living Center is a quaint, cozy, long-term care facility nestled in the heart of Matthews, Missouri. This facility offers a beautiful setting for rehab to home resident or those staying with us longer. A specialized dementia unit is available for male residents requiring a safer environment. Full-time therapy staff lend a hand to all residents, inspiring them to maintain physical and mental health. Facility is under new leadership with new administrator and Director of Nursing. Our residents can't wait to meet you! We are currently looking for CNAs 12-hour shifts during the week, which includes a scheduled shift every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct resident care duties and assists in maintaining a positive physical and psycho-social environment for the resident. This includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, recreation programs and eating, as needed.Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state or must within four (4) months of employment have completed state-required training and a competency evaluation program. Must have ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees. Regular attendance is an expectation of this position. The facility does utilize an electronic medical record system. This position requires the ability to learn accurate documentation.Job Duties:
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting and dining Take and record vital signs accurately Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients Support patients in mobility and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers Ability to operate lift systems for patient transferJob Types:
