Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in various clinical settings. As a CNA, you will provide essential support to patients by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Your role is vital in delivering dignified care that promotes well-being and enhances quality of life for our residents and clients. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report any abnormalities to nursing staff promptly. Support patients with feeding and medication reminders in accordance with care plans while maintaining proper documentation. Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices during patient transfers. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sanitation standards. Document patient information accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems while respecting HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care patients. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with geriatric populations or in long-term care facilities; prior experience in assisted living or nursing homes is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and basic nursing procedures including catheter care and medication administration. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers. Strong communication skills combined with compassion and patience when caring for individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications in phlebotomy or hospice care are advantageous. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
