Job Description

Minimum 1+ years Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience and CNA certificate required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are needed for a 26-week assignment in a psychiatric and behavioral health setting, working directly with patients to support their daily needs and care in a secure hospital environment. This position requires dedication, empathy, and adaptability when working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Days:
7:00 AM•3:00
PM Evenings:
3:00 PM•11:00
PM Nights:
11:00 PM•7:00 AM Overtime may be available based on facility needs
Responsibilities:
Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal assistance, and mobility Observe and document patient behaviors, mood fluctuations, and safety concerns Assist with the implementation of therapeutic activities under nursing guidance Help ensure a safe, supportive environment by following established behavioral health safety protocols Support nursing staff with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers Communicate proactively with the interdisciplinary team to report patient status and observations Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications:
Active CNA certification, with state-specific compliance Previous experience in psychiatric care, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care preferred Calm, professional demeanor in behavioral or acute care situations Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain before start Ability to complete required background checks, drug screening, and onboarding
