Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant will Provide or assist with personal care (i.e., bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair). The Certified Nursing Assistant will assist with the client with all forms of ambulation recommended and listed in patients Plan of Care The Certified Nursing Assistant will assist the client with self- administration of medications which are ordered by a physician or other person authorized by state law to prescribe; The Certified Nursing Assistant is required to perform incidental household services which are essential to the client's care at home; and The Certified Nursing Assistant is required to record and report changes in the client's condition, family situation or needs to the agency Registered Nurse. The Certified Nursing Assistant will submit documentation verifying tasks performed for the client as recommended from their Plan of Care. Minimum age requirements is 18 years Valid driver's license, with satisfactory driving record, as defined by agency policy Certification, if required by state licensure as a CNA or Home Health Care Aide in the state in which the aide is to provide care Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of recent experience as an aide Ability to read, write, understand and communicate written instructions Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting and may be expected to lift up 75 lbs.; must be able to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time and bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision Must possess sufficient eye/hand coordination to operate adaptive and household equipment Ability to establish effective relationships with individuals, families, and team members Must have a high school diploma' '
