To learn more about Team OC please visit https://www.orthocarolina.com/about-us We are currently searching for a Clinical Assistant Team Lead to join our team at our OrthoCarolina Mooresville office location. The Clinical Assistant Team Lead is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others, and assisting the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.
Essential Functions:
Monitors staff behavior, holding staff accountable for assignments, customer service and other standards such as Policy and Procedure whether technical or organizational criterion. Serves as a clinical information resource for the staff. Assures OSHA and other compliance standards are met in each module in each location (including Spore Testing, Emergency equipment checks, cleaning logs, etc.). Provides guidance on technical questions.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, nursing or a college degree in a related field Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant, current nursing license, ATC Board certification 3 years of clinical assistant experience Clinical Assistants include these certified clinicians: If CMA or RMA, individual must be registered or certified through one of the following national organizations:
  • -American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA),
  • -National HealthCareer Association (NHA),
  • -American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • -American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • -American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) If EMT, individual must possess Emergency Medical Technician certification If ATC, individual must be board certified as Athletic Trainer Employee Type Regular Qualifications Skills Clinical Knowledge, Collaboration, Orthopedics, Patient Care, Patient Education, Quality Improvement, Team Management, Workforce Development Education Certifications Language Work Experience
