Home Instead is seeking dedicated CNAs to provide high-quality, person-centered care that allows seniors to age safely and comfortably in the place they call home. Responsibilities As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide non-medical and personal care services, including: Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assisting with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility using gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment. Providing companionship and meaningful engagement. Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when appropriate. Performing light housekeeping and laundry. Providing medication reminders. Monitoring and reporting changes in a client's physical or emotional condition. Supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other age-related conditions. Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the office regarding client care. Qualifications Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Previous experience working with seniors in a home care, assisted living, rehabilitation, hospital, or skilled nursing setting preferred. Compassionate, patient, and dependable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professionalism. Reliable transportation or the ability to travel to client homes throughout Queens. Ability to pass a background check and meet all employment requirements. Preferred Experience Experience providing care for clients with: Dementia or Alzheimer's disease Parkinson's disease Hospice or end-of-life care Stroke recovery Diabetes Limited mobility or bedbound clients Hoyer lift and gait belt transfers Why Join Home Instead?
