13 Weeks Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a Long-Term Care Dementia Care Unit in Newark, New York. This role involves providing direct patient care and daily living assistance to residents within a supportive long-term care environment focused on dementia and memory care. The ideal candidate will have prior LTC experience, strong patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing and interdisciplinary care teams. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) Support bathing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance Assist with turning, repositioning, transfers, and ambulation Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff Obtain and document vital signs accurately Provide incontinence care and catheter care support Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout shifts Assist with specimen collection and transport as needed Support infection prevention and PPE protocols Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient care areas Assist with patient transfers using lifts and mobility devices Follow facility safety standards and proper body mechanics Requirements Minimum 1 year of CNA experience required Long-Term Care experience preferred First-time travelers accepted Strong dementia and memory care patient support skills preferred Ability to float to other units based on facility needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced patient care environment For more details reach at or Call / Text at 732 791 4807
