Job Description
The LIFE Center is seeking a compassionate, dependable Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our adult day care team. This position is very different from nursing home or assisted living work . While personal care support is part of the role, the primary responsibility is engagement, supervision, and social interaction in a structured daytime setting. Because this position supports participants during a critical transition period at the end of the day, consistent attendance is essential to successfully perform the job duties . Attendance Expectations (Required) This position requires reliable, consistent attendance The scheduled hours ( 8:00-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday ) must be worked as assigned Frequent absences, tardiness, or last-minute call-offs directly impact participant safety and program operations If consistent attendance may be a challenge, this position may not be a good fit and applicants should not apply Key Responsibilities Engage participants in social, recreational, and group activities Assist with leading small groups and structured programming Provide supervision and ensure participant safety Assist with activities of daily living as needed, including feeding, toileting, and mobility Support a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment What Makes This Role Different Not a nursing home or assisted living setting Focus on daytime engagement rather than medical-heavy care Emphasis on dignity, independence, and meaningful social connection Qualifications Current CNA certification in good standing Ability to consistently work Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00 PM (required) Comfortable engaging groups and interacting socially with participants Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Why Work at the LIFE Center Consistent weekday schedule Mission-driven, supportive team Meaningful work that positively impacts participants and families
