Job Summary We are seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) available for full-time and part-time 8-hour shifts to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our diverse patient population. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods and safe lifting practices. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infection and promote healing. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines across all patient care activities. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current state licensure; additional certifications in CPR/BLS preferred. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings including long-term care facilities, hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience preferred), or assisted living communities. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to patient care in geriatrics Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics; experience with manual handling is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous. Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required; commitment to providing compassionate senior care and patient service.
