Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities and hospitals. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for all individuals. The Nursing Assistant will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Provide catheter care and maintain hygiene standards. Support patients with dementia by employing appropriate communication techniques and providing emotional support. Assist in the care of pediatric patients as needed. Document patient information accurately in medical records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards. Lift and transfer patients safely using proper techniques and equipment. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff. Engage in caregiving activities that promote patient well-being and comfort. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for seniors. Skills Proficient in catheter care and understanding of related procedures. Knowledgeable in dementia care techniques and strategies for effective communication. Familiarity with pediatric care principles is a plus. Strong understanding of physiology and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Ability to lift patients safely, ensuring their comfort and safety during transfers. Experience in assisted living environments is desirable. Competent in medical documentation practices to maintain accurate patient records. A genuine passion for senior care and providing compassionate support to individuals in need.
