DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on supporting residents by meeting their basic health care needs and helping them build skills for greater independence. As a Nurse Aide, you will perform the following duties:

Direct Care Support:

Assist residents with hygiene, comfort, and daily needs to maintain a clean and safe environment

Rehabilitation Assistance:

Support restorative programs that help residents reach their highest level of independence

Communication Skills:

Use therapeutic communication and respond to crises while acting as an advocate for residents

Care Planning Input:

Contribute to treatment discussions and help maintain an orderly and sanitary living space

Daily Living Guidance:

Teach and assist residents with tasks such as making beds, caring for belongings, and healthy eating habits

Status Reporting:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM (2nd shift), with a 30-minute lunch or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (3rd shift), with no lunch. You will have rotating on and off duty days, including weekends and holidays.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.

Special Requirement:

This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

Other Requirements:

PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
