Gentle Home Care Agency is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one care for a client living with dementia. This is a per diem position with a flexible schedule, offering a minimum of 4 hours per week and up to 20 hours per week . The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and comfortable providing personal care while helping the client maintain dignity, comfort, safety, and independence.

Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate, hands-on care and companionship Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed Provide meal preparation and assistance with meals as appropriate Monitor and report changes in the client's condition or behavior Provide dementia-friendly supervision and redirection Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment Follow the client's care plan and established safety procedures Communicate professionally with family members and the care team Provide companionship and engage the client in appropriate activities

Qualifications:

Current CNA certification in the state of Iowa Previous experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease preferred Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and follow a care plan Personal vehicle preferred Reliable transportation to and from the client's home Ability to pass required background checks and meet applicable employment requirements

Pay:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 20.0 per week
