Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at a long-term care facility committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. In this vital role, you will support residents with their daily needs, promote their well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and changes in residents' conditions with precision and attention to detail. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort through tailored approaches like memory care techniques. Support residents during meal times, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration while respecting individual preferences and dietary restrictions. Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Utilize safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques when assisting residents with transfers or repositioning to prevent injury. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with active state licensure; experience working in long-term care facilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation. Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR) certification required. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining patient safety standards. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
