Duties Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, braising pots, poaching devices, and food processors Ensure food safety by adhering to sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and sanitation standards throughout all kitchen activities Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with meal assembly to meet dietary requirements and preferences Maintain high-volume food production standards while ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes Help with food portioning, plating, and serving to ensure timely delivery of meals to residents Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations through regular cleaning and sanitizing routines Experience Prior dietary aide or food service experience in healthcare, restaurant, or catering settings is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in high-volume environments is preferred Skills in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production are beneficial Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong knife skills and experience in food handling across different culinary styles including fine dining are advantageous Previous work in the food industry or culinary field demonstrating attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a meaningful difference!
