Overview Join our compassionate team as a CNA/PCA, dedicated to providing exceptional personal care and support to individuals in various care settings. This vital role empowers you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of a set of twins who have Autism by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. Whether working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments, you will be the trusted caregiver who promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for those you serve. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations. Support medication administration and help implement personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and intellectual disabilities. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed precisely. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed diligently. Document care activities accurately in resident records and communicate effectively with team members about patient status or concerns. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Experience with Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care or supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities is desirable. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; compassionate attitude toward residents' personal care needs. $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
