Support medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy (blood draws), and medication administration under supervision. Ensure patient safety through proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding sensitive medical records. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in various care settings. Requirements Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state licensing board. Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and behavioral health needs. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, basic life support (CPR), and patient transfer methods. Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), hospice or palliative care environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and demonstrate manual handling skills; physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
