Activities Director - CNA Required Richmond Health Care Center Richmond, Texas Full-Time | Skilled Nursing & Memory Care Bring Purpose, Connection, and Joy to Every Day Richmond Health Care Center is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and experienced Activities Director to lead engaging programs that enhance our residents' quality of life. The ideal candidate understands the unique needs of residents in both skilled nursing and memory care settings and can create meaningful activities that support their social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and physical well-being. An active CNA certification and previous skilled nursing and memory care experience are required for consideration. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, and oversee a comprehensive resident activities program Create specialized programming for residents living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments Develop monthly activity calendars based on residents' interests, abilities, and care needs Lead engaging group and one-on-one activities Coordinate holiday celebrations, special events, outings, entertainment, and community involvement Complete resident assessments, care plans, progress notes, and required documentation Collaborate with Nursing, Social Services, Dietary, Therapy, and other departments Encourage resident participation and adapt activities for different cognitive and physical abilities Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise activities staff and volunteers Maintain compliance with state and federal skilled nursing regulations Assist residents using CNA skills when needed Manage activity supplies and departmental resources responsibly Required Qualifications Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification Previous Activities experience in a skilled nursing facility Previous experience working with a memory care unit or residents with dementia Knowledge of person-centered dementia programming and activity adaptations Strong leadership, organization, communication, and documentation skills Ability to create a welcoming, energetic, and resident-focused environment Ability to meet all applicable background screening and employment requirements Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as an Activities Director or Assistant Activities Director Activity Director certification or eligibility for certification Familiarity with care planning, resident assessments, and regulatory requirements What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience DailyPay - access your earned pay when you need it Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) with employer contributions Company-paid life insurance Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives If you are a creative and compassionate leader with the required CNA certification and experience in both skilled nursing and memory care, we would love to meet you.
