Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have experience working with diverse patient populations. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing high-quality, respectful assistance with daily activities and health monitoring. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and respectful environment tailored to individual needs. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care and basic wound care following aseptic techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed effectively. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the facility by following infection control protocols and sanitation guidelines. Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; active state certification required. Prior experience in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (CPR) certification required. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner is desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service in diverse settings such as assisted living, geriatrics, or hospital environments. Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
