Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated LVN Charge Nurse for night shifts to lead and coordinate nursing care within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a Charge Nurse, you will oversee nursing operations during your shift, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and support staff in providing optimal resident outcomes. Duties Supervise nursing staff during night shifts, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. Coordinate resident assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and healthcare standards. Oversee documentation processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Point Click Care Respond promptly to resident needs, including managing acute pain, infection control issues, and emergency situations such as airway management or ventilator support. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and specialized care such as Alzheimer's or memory care. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, HIPAA policies, and safety protocols including basic life support (BLS) and sterile techniques. Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff to promote professional development and maintain high standards of care. Skills Extensive experience working with geriatric patients in skilled nursing facilities or long-term care settings. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills for effective caregiver communication and team coordination. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and medical documentation accurately. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; dementia or Alzheimer's care expertise is highly valued. Knowledge of infection control policies, IV infusion techniques, catheterization procedures, and sterile processing practices.
