Responsibilities:

In this role you will provide a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients.

Key duties include:

Personal Care:

Assisting with hygiene, toileting, mobility, medication, and meal preparation.

Health Monitoring:

Measuring and recording fluid intake/output, and reporting changes to the nurse supervisor.

Documentation:

Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR) and documenting services provided.

Housekeeping:

Performing light housekeeping duties in the patient area.

Patient Environment:

Maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment while following infection control principles.

Emergency Procedures:

Recognizing and responding to emergencies.

Professional Development:

Maintaining competency and registration. Essential Skills for

Qualifications:

Registered by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Certified Nursing Assistant One year of relevant experience required Hospice experience, preferred Driver's license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance

Typical Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Must be prepared to work in home environments that have difficult working conditions including, but not limited to cramped space, pets, dirt, allergens smoke, limited seating Sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach, lift and walk, climb steps Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push up to 200 pounds in a wheelchair.
