Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to ensure seamless documentation of patient care. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety. Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments, implementing memory care protocols and behavioral health strategies. Assist in clinical procedures including phlebotomy, catheter care, and wound management within medical-surgical or acute care settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU environments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, pediatric units (PICU), or geriatric care to deliver comprehensive patient service. Support infection control practices by following strict aseptic techniques and managing infectious disease protocols during patient interactions. Use advanced physiology knowledge to monitor patient responses during urgent care or post-acute settings, ensuring prompt escalation when necessary. Facilitate patient mobility and safety using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer devices while maintaining proper body mechanics and safety standards. Engage in ongoing training related to medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and specialized areas such as hospice care or behavioral health to enhance your caregiving expertise. Qualifications Valid CNA certification/license with current registration in the state of practice. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center preferred), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings. Proven ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays across pediatric or geriatric populations. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Critical care experience including ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable; experience with Level II trauma centers is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or assisting with transfers safely.
