Duties Deliver direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Observe and document patient conditions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and medical terminology guidelines Support patients with specialized needs such as catheter care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and end-of-life support Use safe patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques to prevent injury Perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment in accordance with home healthcare regulations Provide emotional support and effective communication to clients and their families to foster trust and understanding Respond swiftly to emergencies by applying first aid or basic life support (BLS) techniques when necessary Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) from an accredited program. Current Washington State CNA or HCA license. Required to have specialty training (Dementia, Mental Health, Diabetes and Nurse Delegation) Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and infection control practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or geriatrics is advantageous Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques; experience with patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts is desirable Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional training in hospice or memory care is a plus Knowledge of home health care regulations and compliance standards to ensure high-quality service deliveryEmbark on a fulfilling career where your dedication enhances the quality of life for those in need.
