1 Description American Traveler is hiring a WI RN First Assist for a day shift surgical role requiring RNFA certification and periodic call coverage. Details Operating Room setting assisting surgeons during procedures Day shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 7am-5:30pm Call coverage required one weekend per month plus 7 additional call nights monthly 6-week assignment length Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required Graduate of an accredited nursing program Completion of an accredited RNFA program or recognized first-assisting education program BLS certification required within 6 months of hire 1+ years of operating room/surgical experience preferred Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required Additional Information Assist surgical team with preparing and organizing sterile supplies, instruments, equipment, and drapes Assist with patient positioning to ensure safety during procedures Provide visualization and assist with hemostasis and wound closure techniques Apply wound dressings and assist with drainage system insertion and securing Safely operate surgical equipment such as pneumatic tourniquets, electrocautery, and endoscopy equipment First-time travelers welcome to apply
