Summary As a Nursing Assistant /Homemaker at Community Action of Laramie County, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our clients in need. Responsibilities Provide personal care services as outlined in the Wyoming Home Services Grant (WyHS) contract, adhering to state policies. Assist with bathing, transferring, grooming, feeding, ambulating, oral hygiene, and skin care. Follow the State Policy Manual for providing in-home CNA services. Routinely provide housekeeping services to dependent adults in the home setting. Provide errand or chore services for dependent adults in the home setting. Provide respite services for clients not needing personal care. Evaluate and react appropriately to client needs, likes, and dislikes. Report all concerns related to the health and safety of clients to the supervisor immediately. Maintain timely and accurate communication and documentation. Requirements Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required High School diploma or equivalent Possess general computer and word processing skills and be willing to learn other skills as required for specialized software, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point and Publisher. Possession of a current Wyoming Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. A valid Wyoming driver's license with a safe driving record. Must be at least 23 years of age. Undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and random drug and alcohol testing. Ability to maintain accurate records and detailed charting, ensuring client information is kept strictly confidential. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus. May regularly sit for periods of up to two (2) hours. Use hands and fingers for a variety of grip, carry, and assessment purposes. May be required to reach with both hands and arms. May be required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to perform all CNA services without restrictions. Must be able to work in a moderate noise level environment. Must be able to tolerate an air-conditioned environment with fluorescent lighting. Be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Other Requirements Dress and behave in a professional manner which reflects the highest quality of professionalism. Be able to work independently and manage work tasks consistently. Be present and reliable in your role with CALC. Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and develop effective solutions to plan and coordinate delivery of services. Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with the policies of CALC and HIPAA mandates. Must possess a valid state driver's license and have a clean driving history. Must have and maintain reliable transportation for job related travel. Must maintain and possess at least vehicle liability insurance. Must be insurable through CALC's insurance provider. Must be willing to travel within the county as needed to fulfill job responsibilities. Must pass all drug and alcohol screening, including pre-employment testing (TB) and random drug screens, in accordance with CALC's drug and alcohol-free environment policies. Attend first aid and CPR training as required. Stay up-to-date with licensing education requirements.
