Assisted Living Manager | Full-Time $60,000/year + Performance Bonus We are a small, boutique residential assisted living home seeking a hands-on Assisted Living Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our home and lead our caregiving team. In our small-home environment, the Manager is expected to know our residents, families, and caregivers personally and build strong relationships with each. The Manager should be visible in the daily rhythm of the home, understand what is happening across shifts, and notice and address issues before they become larger problems. We are looking for someone with strong judgment, organization, follow-through, leadership ability, and a genuine respect for older adults. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the home's day-to-day operations and maintain consistency across shifts. Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, coach, and hold caregivers accountable for attendance, performance, professionalism, documentation, and care expectations. Build and maintain staff schedules and address call-outs, coverage needs, overtime, and staffing concerns. Conduct routine rounds and remain closely aware of resident condition, caregiver performance, documentation, cleanliness, supplies, and the overall home environment. Monitor quality of care and changes in resident condition, mobility, cognition, behavior, or acuity; ensure concerns are documented, communicated, and appropriately escalated. Own caregiver onboarding and ongoing training, including resident-specific care, dementia care, fall prevention, safe transfers, documentation, and other care standards. Maintain ongoing Texas HHSC license compliance , including required resident and employee records, training documentation, postings, safety records, internal compliance audits, and continuous preparedness for unannounced state inspections. Oversee medication-support systems, medication supplies/refills, pharmacy coordination, and related documentation within the home's permitted scope. Maintain responsive communication with resident families and coordinate with physicians, hospice, home health, therapy, pharmacy, and other outside providers. Own household operational systems, including resident engagement, groceries, menus, resident and household supplies, inventory, housekeeping, laundry, storage, maintenance follow-through, and vendors. Participate with ownership/Administrator in prospective resident assessments, tours, admissions, care-level reassessments, and continued-residency decisions. Support appropriate occupancy through inquiry follow-up, tours, referral relationships, community involvement, and a strong resident and family experience. Maintain organized systems, calendars, checklists, and follow-up processes so recurring responsibilities are completed accurately and on time. Participate in an on-call rotation and step into direct resident assistance or caregiver coverage when operational circumstances require it. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Owner/Administrator. What We're Looking For Prior leadership or management experience required . Assisted living, memory care, senior living, healthcare, residential care, or related experience strongly preferred . Familiarity with Texas HHSC assisted living licensing standards strongly preferred , including maintaining regulatory compliance and preparedness for state inspections. Experience supervising employees and managing scheduling, call-outs, training, performance, and accountability. Strong organization, judgment, communication, and follow-through. Ability to recognize resident, staffing, compliance, and operational concerns and act on them appropriately. Comfortable in a small residential setting where the Manager is visible, hands-on, and personally involved in daily operations. CNA, LVN, RN, or another relevant healthcare background is helpful but not required. Compensation $60,000 annual salary
Performance Bonus:
Up to $12,000 annually based on sustained occupancy and operational performance.
