POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the college's learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check NSCC email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Work with students as academic advisor as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. Current unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nursing license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. Collegiate level teaching experience. Demonstrated commitment to equity and accessibility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of confidentiality statutes and policies as they apply to FERPA and HIPPA.
