Job Description

We are a specialized Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) focused on vascular access procedures that support the ongoing dialysis needs of patients with end-stage renal disease. Our center provides a professional, patient-focused environment where safety, efficiency, teamwork, and quality of care are our highest priorities. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse Manager with strong OR circulating experience to join our leadership team. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys both clinical leadership and hands-on patient care. The Nurse Manager will oversee the daily nursing operations of the ASC while also working clinically as a circulating RN during procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. This position will be responsible for ensuring that nursing services are delivered safely and efficiently and that the ASC maintains compliance with CMS, ACHC, California regulatory requirements, and applicable infection prevention and patient-safety standards .
Education and Experience:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 2 years of operating room/circulating RN experience . Previous ASC, outpatient surgery, hospital OR, or procedural-area experience. Strong understanding of surgical safety, infection prevention, and patient-care standards. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Current BLS certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred . Demonstrated communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, and assessing. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, nationally recognized guidelines and regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to staff, management and physicians. Nursing Leadership & Management Provide leadership, direction, and support to RNs, surgical technicians, and other clinical staff. Develop and maintain nursing schedules and staffing assignments. Coordinate daily staffing needs with the surgical schedule. Participate in hiring, orientation, competency assessment, performance evaluations, and staff development. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and patient safety. Assist with development, implementation, and review of nursing policies and procedures. Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, patient-safety initiatives, and performance improvement activities. Assist with preparation for CMS, ACHC, and other regulatory surveys. Participate in emergency preparedness activities, drills, and staff education.
