Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager for Assisted Living to lead our healthcare team in providing exceptional resident care within a supportive and compliant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive nursing expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of assisted living operations, ensuring high-quality patient care while adhering to all regulatory standards. This role offers an opportunity to influence resident well-being positively and foster a collaborative team culture. Duties Oversee daily nursing operations within the assisted living facility, ensuring compliance with state healthcare regulations and long-term care standards. Supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and fostering professional development. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive patient assessments, utilizing medical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex cases involving dementia care, behavioral health, geriatrics, and memory care residents. Ensure medication administration accuracy, catheter care, IV infusion procedures, tube feeding management, and sterile technique adherence. Conduct regular audits of medical records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and maintain meticulous documentation for all patient interactions. Lead discharge planning, triage assessments, and utilization review processes to optimize patient outcomes and resource management. Promote infection control practices and oversee emergency response protocols including airway management and critical & intensive care procedures. Skills Extensive nursing management experience with proficiency in supervising multidisciplinary healthcare teams in assisted living or long-term care settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, and medical documentation standards. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; experience working with EHR systems is essential. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex cases involving dementia care, behavioral health issues, and chronic disease management including diabetes and dialysis. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, and diagnostic evaluation. Familiarity with state healthcare regulations related to long-term care facilities and managed care policies such as NCQA standards. Exceptional managerial communication skills to lead teams effectively while maintaining high levels of patient care quality. Ability to handle acute pain management scenarios, ventilator use, catheterization procedures, and long-term care regulations compliance.
