POSITION PURPOSE
The Manager of Clinical Operations and Quality, RN provides direct oversight of integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health services, quality patient care, development of services, implementation of special projects, and supports the organization's mission to champion and provide quality, integrated health care services for low-income residents of Carroll County, Maryland within a person-centered model and community-based population health plan. .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical operations within the integrated care setting to ensure high quality care, including new projects and grant-based accountable programs, and policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of clinical competence of clinical services with direct involvement of care and delivery processes. Monitor clinical competence of staff, facilitate education and apply action plans as necessary. Manage electronic health record (Athena) for integrated medical and behavioral health care applications.
  • Manage and ensure accurate and comprehensive completion of all tasks and data reporting for MA AHEAD, HEDIS and other insurance-based incentive programs. Educate staff of all program requirements and changes and ensure staff program objectives understanding and completion of tasks.
  • Ensure compliance of community clinic accreditation and licensure status including Joint Commission, State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Maryland Department of the Environment, and Pharmacy Board.
  • Manage clinical operations staff in coordination with front office management and strategic clinical partners. Facilitate meetings and collaborative communication processes.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and channels for effective communication, and makes suggestions for change appropriately.
  • Participate in community and population health-based initiatives. Attend and represent the organization in meetings and presentations. Participate in continuing education, stay abreast of changes in community health.
  • Assist Executive Director in recruitment of new clinical staff. Provide supervisory guidance and training of new staff and students - assist in completed checklists and competencies, and computer network and electronic record access.
  • Evaluate and document the effectiveness of services, special projects/programs, protocols, policies and procedures. Develop/implement action plans for modifications based on evaluation, performance improvement activity results, data, and consumer feedback. Communicate all results to staff and Executive Director.
  • All other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with current Maryland RN Licensure, Required
  • 5 Years Clinical Experience, Required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare leadership, supervisory, or management experience required.
  • Emergency Department and/or Provider office experience, a plus.
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams in an ambulatory, primary care, community health, or integrated care setting, preferred.
  • Current
AHA HCP CPR
certification required - ACLS a plus
    Computer Proficiency:
    Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and advanced typing and computer navigation of local and web- based applications
    • Annual Influenza Vaccination and tuberculosis screening with result documentation
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Hepatitis B immunization proof and/or titer confirmation dates/results
    • Background and criminal history check

    Pay:
    $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
