•80/h We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse

•Unit Manager LTC to lead our long-term care (LTC) nursing team with energy and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a positive environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities within the LTC unit, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, promoting professional development and team cohesion. Ensure compliance with state healthcare regulations, long-term care regulations, HIPAA privacy standards, and nursing policy requirements. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, tube feeding management, and wound care using aseptic techniques. Manage documentation processes including medical records, medical documentation, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Coordinate discharge planning, case management activities, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes. Conduct diagnostic evaluations, physical examinations, and assessments for residents with complex needs such as dementia or behavioral health conditions. Ensure proper infection control practices and maintain a sterile environment during procedures like phlebotomy or specimen collection/processing. Facilitate communication with interdisciplinary teams including physicians during critical & intensive care situations such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center scenarios. Lead efforts in managing care facility teams to meet NCQA standards and long-term care regulations while fostering a culture of safety and excellence. Skills Proven leadership experience in nurse management within long-term care or skilled nursing facilities. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth; familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding is essential. Critical care experience including ICU or Level II Trauma Center exposure; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly valued. Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations and long-term care policies; experience managing compliance with HIPAA privacy laws. Skilled in medication administration, IV insertion/infusion, catheterization, sterile processing, and airway management including ventilator support. Excellent managerial communication skills to supervise teams effectively while maintaining patient-centered focus. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments involving vital signs monitoring and physical examinations across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients like neonates or toddlers when applicable. Competence in managing complex cases involving behavioral health issues or dementia care; experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives related to acute pain management, infection control practices, or discharge planning processes.
