RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
