Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing operations within our healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will coordinate nursing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote best practices in patient management across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities Supervise and manage nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Oversee patient assessments, ensuring accurate documentation and appropriate care planning. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, long-term care regulations, and state healthcare laws. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes. Maintain proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Implement nursing policies and procedures aligned with organizational standards and quality benchmarks. Provide clinical guidance on complex cases involving critical care, ventilator management, IV infusion, catheterization, and other specialized procedures. Lead staff training initiatives on topics such as infection control, sterile technique, medication administration, and anatomy/physiology knowledge. Experience Proven supervisory experience in nursing management within acute or long-term care settings. Extensive clinical background in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors requiring dementia or memory care, individuals with developmental disabilities, pediatric patients including NICU or PICU cases. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for medical records management. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, DRG systems, and utilization management processes. Strong understanding of hospital medicine practices including airway management, tube feeding, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and specimen collection. Experience ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations related to medical documentation, patient safety protocols, and long-term care standards. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care and nursing policy adherence.
