Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting Serve as charge nurse, supervising CNAs and support staff on assigned shift Administer medications and treatments per provider orders Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families on care plans Ensure compliance with facility policies, state, and federal regulations Support and mentor staff to promote best practices and resident safety Participate in care conferences and quality improvement initiatives Promote a compassionate, resident-centered, family-oriented environment Required Skills Medication administration Wound care IV therapy (if certified) Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Vital signs assessment Care planning Infection control practices Supervisory and delegation skills Geriatric nursing Regulatory and compliance knowledge (LTC/SNF)
