Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Director Life Enrichment Coordinator to lead our resident engagement programs. This role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing diverse recreational activities tailored to meet the needs of seniors, including those with memory care and dementia. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience working with geriatric populations, and a passion for enhancing quality of life through meaningful activities. Duties Plan, organize, and execute engaging recreational programs that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity among residents. Coordinate resident events that foster community involvement and enhance residents' overall well-being. Build rapport with residents by understanding their interests, preferences, and individual needs to tailor activities accordingly. Lead and supervise activity staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure program success. Collaborate with nursing staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to integrate therapeutic activities into care plans. Manage the scheduling of activities efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation of participation and resident feedback. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for planning, reporting, and communication purposes to streamline program management. Foster an inclusive environment by working effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs related to aging issues or memory care. Requirements Proven experience in event planning within senior living facilities or long-term care environments. Prior assisted living or nursing home experience with a focus on geriatrics or memory care is highly desirable. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, recreational therapy techniques, and senior care best practices. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs tailored to geriatric patients and residents with disabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for program development and documentation purposes. Experience working with individuals with aging issues or in home & community care settings is advantageous. Leadership skills necessary for team coordination and resident rapport building.
