Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Charge Nurse - RN Supervisor to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. This vital role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to ensure exceptional patient care, uphold regulatory standards, and foster a collaborative team environment. As a Charge Nurse Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, mentor nursing staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare protocols while maintaining a focus on patient safety and satisfaction. Your energetic approach will inspire your team to deliver top-tier care in a fast-paced, diverse setting. Hours Night Shift 7PM -2AM Duties Supervise and coordinate nursing staff across shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth. Manage patient flow, triage urgent cases, and prioritize care needs in accordance with hospital protocols including ICU, emergency medicine, and acute care settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning, treatment plans, and medication administration strategies aligned with HIPAA regulations. Conduct staff evaluations, supervise training on specialized procedures like IV insertion, catheter care, ventilator management, and sterile processing. Ensure compliance with infection control practices, OSHA standards, and state licensing requirements such as NCQA standards for quality assurance. Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to promote transparency and excellent patient care experiences. Requirements 2 years of management required. Valid RN license with current registration; previous supervisory or nurse management experience preferred. Extensive clinical background in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; experience in emergency medicine or hospital medicine is highly valued. Demonstrated expertise in patient assessment, physiology knowledge, medication administration, and medical terminology. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and advanced procedures like spinal taps or cardiac catheterization is beneficial. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, family interactions, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or specialized training in dementia or behavioral health care are advantageous.
