Job Description

(As seen in the Norfolk Daily News) Director of Nutrition Services Opening Wakefield Community School has an immediate opening for a passionate and dedicated Director of Nutrition Services to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves cooking, enjoys serving children, and takes pride in creating nutritious meals in a positive school environment. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals for students
  • Ensure compliance with state nutrition guidelines and food safety standards
  • Plan menus that are healthy, appealing, and balanced
  • Maintain an organized and efficient kitchen operation
  • Collaborate effectively with school staff and team members
  • Foster a welcoming dining experience for students Qualifications
  • Food service experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Passion for cooking and working with children
  • Ability to maintain nutrition and safety standards Salary & Benefits
  • Twelve-month salaried position
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM 2:00 PM
