Job Description

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity where your expertise in occupational therapy can make a critical difference in the lives of students. This position is based in a welcoming educational environment close to Sutton, AK, with a need for dedicated occupational therapists to support students in-person throughout the academic year. As an occupational therapist in this meaningful role, your skills will directly impact students ability to participate in school activities and reach their full potential. With 37.5 hours each week and approximately 1,000 minutes of direct student contact, youll enjoy the chance to collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team and educators.
Key Qualifications:
Active Alaska (AK) Occupational Therapy license required Type C Certification mandatory for all applicants School-based experience preferred, especially delivering services to diverse student populations Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and student progress monitoring Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and adaptability in dynamic school settings AK-certified candidates strongly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services in-person, adhering to state and district guidelines Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with varying needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to support student learning and participation Maintain detailed documentation, progress reports, and compliance with special education regulations Attend team meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary planning Remain engaged in ongoing professional development and certification maintenance Enjoy being part of an environment where your contribution matters daily, working with passionate colleagues who share your commitment to student progress.
