9593773-92704 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a full-time Occupational Therapist on a contract assignment. This role covers a leave of absence and runs from ASAP through December 1. As an integral part of the school-based team, youll help students develop vital life skills and maximize their independence in an engaging, supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Occupational Therapist license in California Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities Familiarity with IEP processes and providing therapy in accordance with individual plans Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work effectively with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and maintain detailed documentation Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure coordinated care Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Educate and guide families and staff on strategies to facilitate fine motor, sensory, and self-care skill development in the classroom setting Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines This assignment offers a supportive atmosphere where creative intervention strategies are welcomed.
