Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the lives of high school students by supporting their unique needs in an engaging educational environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with mild to moderate student populations across two campuses, helping them thrive academically and personally.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Occupational Therapist credentials Demonstrated experience working in school settings, with direct knowledge of IEP processes Comfortable managing a caseload (current assignment involves 43 students) Skilled in delivering OT interventions tailored to high school students Familiarity with both mild and moderate needs within a school environment Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, support staff, and families
What You'll Do:
Provide occupational therapy services to high school students, encouraging growth in academic and functional skills Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans as part of the IEP process Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review progress and adjust plans as needed for each student Travel between two local school sites to provide services where needed Maintain thorough, organized documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment to enhance learning for students with varying needs This role comes with the flexibility of a 35-hour work week, allowing you to maintain a balanced schedule while making a meaningful contribution.
