Position - Part-time or PRN opportunity!
Occupational Therapist Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at the West Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients regain their independence and overcome physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including but not limited to stroke, spinal cord injury, and cognitive impairments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life Conduct daily occupational therapy sessions, using a variety of techniques and strategies to achieve patient goals Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure seamless care delivery Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure and registration as an Occupational Therapist Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Work Environment:
