Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and independence across K-12th grade near the Fort Pierce, FL area. We're seeking three dedicated, full-time Occupational Therapists to make a lasting difference in school-based settings. This role offers the unique chance to engage with a varied caseload, fostering both fine and gross motor skills while collaborating with educators and other related professionals. As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, you'll work a consistent 37.5 hours per week, ensuring comprehensive support for students with diverse needs in academic and home health environments. This assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 2027, providing excellent stability for the right candidates. The director is eager to move forward and interviewing interested professionals this week.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist licensure required Background in school settings (K-12), home health, or related healthcare environments Proficient in developing and implementing interventions for fine and gross motor skills Experience collaborating with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt interventions to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver direct and consultative OT services in classrooms and home settings Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, parents, and support staff Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Promote functional skills that enhance participation and independence Take your skills to the next level while helping students thrive in their educational journey.
