9542977-31006 Job Description Step into a valuable and rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a contract-to-hire Occupational Therapist near Talbotton, Georgia. With a focused caseload and a flexible, very part-time schedule10 to 15 hours per weekthis position is ideal for clinicians passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. Youll play an instrumental role from August 3rd, 2026, through May 26th, 2027, working one-on-one with a small group of five elementary students, including one student who uses a wheelchair. This role requires specialized skills and a thoughtful approach, ensuring each student receives personalized support for growth and independence.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Georgia (required) Previous clinical experience in school settings, home health, or healthcare environments Strong familiarity with adaptive equipment and interventions for wheelchair-bound students Compassionate communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families Commitment to individualized, student-centered therapy
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Develop and implement tailored therapy plans addressing IEP goals for elementary students Deliver high-quality OT services both within school and, as needed, in home-based settings Monitor progress, document interventions, and adjust plans to maximize student outcomes Consult with educators, caregivers, and school teams to facilitate smooth integration and support Adapt environments and recommend equipment to meet accessibility and participation needs Youll benefit from highly competitive compensation and reliable weekly pay.
