Job Description

OhioHealth is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, and support clinical staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. You will coordinate staffing, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and promote evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and supervision for nursing staff within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. Oversee patient care delivery to ensure safe, high-quality, and evidence-based nursing practice in alignment with Ohio Health standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and assignments to maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and support efficient patient flow. Coach, mentor, and support nurses and support staff, fostering professional growth, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor clinical outcomes, quality indicators, and patient satisfaction metrics, implementing corrective actions and improvement initiatives as needed. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, accreditation standards, and state and federal regulations. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for nursing staff, providing regular feedback and development plans. Lead and support change initiatives, new clinical programs, and implementation of best practices and new technologies in patient care. Promote an inclusive, respectful work environment that reflects Ohio Health's commitment to diversity, equity, and compassionate care. Support and model safe practices in infection prevention, medication administration, and incident reporting. Engage in continuous learning, professional development, and participation in committees or workgroups focused on quality and patient safety.
