Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students from elementary through high school in a welcoming educational setting near Berwyn, IL. This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with students and educators, making a meaningful difference in school-based therapy. You'll have the unique opportunity to provide "push-in" occupational therapy services within entire classrooms, ensuring accessibility and seamless support. For students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), you'll tailor your approach to meet individual needs, further enhancing their learning experiences. Your typical week will span 32.5 hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm), giving you the chance to form connections and see ongoing progress throughout the school year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois Experience in school-based therapy settings (elementary to high school preferred) Background in Home Health or Healthcare OT is a plus Comfortable adapting therapy for both group settings and IEP-directed support Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, educators, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy in classroom "push-in" model alongside teachers Assess student needs and develop strategies to maximize participation and access Implement and document individualized therapy plans for students with IEPs Track progress, adjust interventions, and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Engage with families and faculty to ensure continuity of care This contract opportunity runs through June 3, 2027, offering professional growth and meaningful connections with students.
