Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by delivering occupational therapy services to elementary and high school students in a supportive educational setting. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with a diverse caseload, collaborating closely with teachers, families, and support staff to empower students in achieving their academic and developmental goals.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) license required Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois or eligibility preferred Previous experience working in school-based settings, particularly with elementary and high school students Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators Solid understanding of IEP processes and evidence-based occupational therapy interventions Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Implement therapy sessions focused on improving functional, social, and academic skills Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor student progress toward IEP goals Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, and therapy outcomes Provide consultative support to classroom teachers and school staff on accommodations and modifications Communicate regularly with families to ensure coordinated and effective therapeutic services Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives
